AVIS Reservation Rules

General conditions.

Validity. 
The present general conditions are valid from November 1, 1999 for driving in the territory of Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Belarus.

Payment. 
All payments in Lithuania can be made against AVIS vouchers or major credit cards (Avis, American Express, Diners Club International, Eurocard, Mastercard, Visa). For car groups C and higher the renter is asked to present 2 major credit cards. The renters with a voucher are asked to present a valid credit card in addition.

Delivery/collection outside the city of Vilnius. 
The service is in function within Europe, on the ground of additional agreement. The charge of one way service within Lithuania and outside Lithuania on request. Special rates are valid in case the car will be left to the AVIS stations in Riga (280 LTL/70 USD), Tallin (400 LTL/100 USD) and Minsk (220 LTL/55 USD).

Delivery/collection within the city of Vilnius. 
The charge per one of these services is 45 LTL/11 USD during office hours. Outside office hours the rate is 90 LTL/22 USD.

Prepaid fuel.
AVIS gives it’s customers the possibility to buy full tank of fuel in advance for with favorable price, this service frees customers from the trouble of filling up the tank before returning the rental car.

Car refueling service.
The renter may return the car also without full tank, by using the refueling service instead 1 Ltr – 4 LTL/1 USD.

Additional driver. 
The vehicle may be driven by person other than the renter, with the consent of the renter and on the conditions specified in the rental agreement. A fee of 60 LTL/rental (15 USD/rental) is charged for the entry of every additional driver into the contact.

Airport surcharge. 
The charge is 40 LTL/10 USD per check-out or check-in at the airport location.

Baby seat. 
Is available for 60 LTL/rental (15 USD/rental) up to 14 days.

AVIS 24h emergency service. 
Hot line for emergency assistance.

Minimum rental. 
24 hours (one day). Price includes third liability insurance and car technical assistance.

Road map of the Baltic states. 
Free of charge in car.

Winter tires. 
Starting from ca. 1st of November until 1st of April.

Extra equipment of cars. 
All our cars are equipped with cassette-radios, starting from gr. B are equipped with power steering and air bags.

Driving license. 
At least two years driving experience and a valid driving license is required. International driving license is required for licenses written in non-latin alphabet. Minimum age 22 years, but in car groups C – 25 years.

Green card. 
Green card can be arranged on request. No entry to C.I.S. (except Belarus).

Chauffeur driving. 
AVIS guarantees to get you safely to any location regardless of weather conditions in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Belarus and other west or east Europe cities.

Transfer service. 
AVIS can meet your guest at airport and drive them to hotels. There are special transfer rates to the major cities in Lithuania, and also to Riga, Tallin, Minsk or Kaliningrad.

Minilease. 
For rentals longer than 2 weeks ask for tender.

Leasing. 
Long term rental (up to 3 years) of passenger cars and vans (also cargo vans) is possible. AVIS provides new cars as well as used cars according to the choice of the client. Ask for tender.

Insurances. 

Third part liability. 
AVIS vehicles provided to you have a complete third part liability coverage up to 4 millions LTL (up to 1 million USD) free of charge. Obligatory traffic insurancies required outside Lithuania, must be bought in addition.

Passenger accident insurance (PAI). 
In the rented vehicle each person is covered up to 24 000 LTL (up to 60 000 USD) by paying just 17 LTL/day (4 USD/day).

Collision damage waiver (CDW) and theft protection (TP). 
For damages to the rented vehicle (also theft), the renter is totally responsible up to the total value of the car. By paying for standard CDW and TP the renter can reduce his own risk to 1650 LTL (412 USD) or super CDW and TP down to 200 LTL (50 USD).

Insurance validity. 
All insurancies are valid on the territory of Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Belarus during the validity time of the contract and in case the rental conditions are followed.

Prices in Litas.

Car tires are not covered by the insurance. There is charge per flat tire. In case of car theft the renter must present AVIS car keys and register certificate.
