This unique little restaurant has a glass door that takes you down a few steps into a beautiful small area (it has private room for small parties to the right). It was originally an underground storage area. It advertises Slavic Food - so much of the menu is devoted to Russian, Moldovan, Ukrainian, etc, dishes - Still, it does offer some local types of food, and has several different dishes. Its main dish is a turkey dish (hence, The Fat Duck) that was quite similar to an American Thanksgiving meal - complete with a berry/cranberry sauce/stuffing. All the famous russian musicians and actors stop here when they visit Klaipeda - you can see pictures of them all across the entrance wall. This restaurant is a must for those looking for a quiet little nook to relax in while in the city center. If you want to try some authentic russian food - it's got plenty! I especially like the potato pancake dish - as it reminds me of my childhood. They offer a wide range of meat, fish, and other foods and salads, along with a number of unusual appetizers.
